Aideen Griffin

I am a visual artist, primarily a painter.  My work is inspired by the natural environment - a wild sea, a quiet woodland, or a vibrant streetscape.  Being outdoors , ‘plein-air’, has always been central to how I work, the sensuality of smells and sounds, colour and light, and the feelings they evoke allow spontaneity and flow.

I studied art in Dunlaoghaire School of Art and Design.   I have had two solo exhibitions at the Signal Gallery in Bray and exhibited in group shows in Dublin and Wicklow.  I have also taught art and painting in Bray.
